Lil Britain - Bennington

I relocated from England to New Hampshire six years ago, and the one dish I truly miss is traditional fish and chips. During a visit to Vermont, we discovered this hidden gem. Wow, it was just as delicious as what you would find in England! Thank you for making our day.

I spent the night in Vermont and happened upon this restaurant. It served the best fried fish and fried shrimp I have ever tasted! The fish was incredibly flaky with a fantastic crust, and the shrimp were fried to perfection—crispy and not greasy at all. Even the fries were delicious! I would highly recommend dining here. I only wish it were closer to home.

Traditional British cuisine done perfectly! The dishes are straightforward yet delicious, and the portions are generous. I would definitely recommend this place. Don't miss out on her homemade root beer!

Friendly staff and made to order food makes this place a good choice. I had the fish and y while my wife had the färgers and chips. Both were very delicious with thick cut pommes and fresh Cole Slav. Note: The small sizes were more than enough.

With covid these folks have curbside pickup in the CCV/ Department of Health parking lot. Food is cooked fresh and always tastes good. Their prices have remained reasonable. We really like their cucumber salad, but it's seasonal.
