I felt that if we did some research prior, we would have ordered more items and had more leftovers. The restaurant had no eat-in customers, but the phone rang for other orders during our dinner. The restaurant was a bit chilly at first. I listen hard to our waitress and tried to communicate our choices which worked out pretty well. The Naan was phenomenal; stuffed and garlic. The Chana Masala was spot on and the spinach dish was really good. We are used to meat options but didn't miss them at all.The restaurant was clean. The staff was informative, patient, and quick. Parking was plentiful and the lot was clean. We will come again!
The woman at the front of the restaurant is not suitable for any customer service position. She is rude and wears open-toed shoes, which is a health code violation. If she only manages the front and doesn't go into the kitchen, it might be okay. We ordered uttapam and dosa, and 15 minutes later she informed us in Gujarati that they did not have South Indian dishes. She then told us they had dosa but no uttapam. When we asked for vada pav, she said they did not have that either. The pav bhaji and pulav were excellent and delicious. However, when our dosa arrived, it was cold and tough, and we had to ask three times for sambhar and chutney. Additionally, the dahi puri was supposed to come with 8 puris, but we only got 7.
Fantastic! I visited Honest in Bensalem with my husband and teenage son. After hearing rave reviews from friends and family, my expectations were high. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant lived up to the hype. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dishes arrived promptly and fresh. The Pao Bhaji was as authentic as it is in Mumbai, and the Bombay grilled sandwiches were amazing. The Dahi Sev Puri was outstanding. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Thank you!
This unusual auntie immediately assumes that any other Indian person must be Gujarati and starts harassing them in Gujarati. The quality has significantly deteriorated and Honest Bensalem is nothing like the one in Edison.
After good reviews my friends and I went to this place and we ordered gobi manchurian, fried rice, vada pav and pav bhaji. very bad service, we ordered mango leti what we never got. the roasted rice was sweeter because of a lot of ketchup and the bhaji had no butter, the pav was not fresh and finally vada pav the worst the vada had such a thick layer of licking around him. not sure because it was nighttime, went or because the chef was changed.
