We truly enjoyed our dinner in this lovely restaurant. We went on a chilly, grey night, but the outdoor seating area seems like it would be an awesome hang on a warm summer evening. The cannoneau wine was delicious, as was the linguine pesto (very different from basil pesto, and really flavorful!), the fettuccine with gorgonzola, broccoli, and walnuts, and the rucola salad. The atmosphere, the food, everything was perfect.I highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to returning.
This a small restaurant with a large outdoor seating area on the edge of Bensheims small park. It's changed ownership several times over the years and this was my first visit in this newest incarnation. On a warm evening it is a lovely place to sit and enjoy some Italian food or just a glass of wine. The menu is typically German/Italian, that is to say concentrating on pizza and pasta, not so much fish or meat but something there for all tastes. The waiting staff were excellent, young men that spoke very good English. The food was all freshly prepared, nicely presented and of excellent quality, although I thought a little pricy. It is close to a major road so sometimes can be a little noisy, depends on the time of day that you visit. All in all though, an enjoyable evening and I will return in the future.
Nice location and very good pasta. I would suggest avoiding meat, and be prepared to pay definitely more as expected. Overrated.
