The restaurant has a large outdoor seating area and is located across from a mini golf course and a nice green area with a fountain. The pizzas we ordered were big in size and quality just what you'd want from an Italian. The beer was good and the service was friendly. Only complaint would be the salad we ordered which was just a bit lazy but who really cares about salad amirite? Just what you'd need after a day of walking.
We had really great food there cannot remember when i last had such a great pizzahowever the service was really really poor.we arrived there and were actively ignored for the first 5 minutes - then we were able to ask for a table. After getting our table we had to wait 15 minutes to get the menu and another 10 minutes to finally place an order. Same for the bill and paying. Such a sad thing, as the view across the mountains is breathtaking and the location is really practical. You should not miss the good food - but i really hope that they will change their service ability to the better soon.
We went into this restaurant and everything seemed to prove that we did the right thing, following the recommendations from Tripadvisor. We chose to eat inside instead of the terrace (and were the only ones to do so). The starters were excellent: very nice tomato soup and great Caprese. But slightly service became worse and latest after the serve of the main course everytime anything was needed (e.g. A dessert, espresso or the bill) costs lots of effort, as part of the personnel was more interested to get thereselves acquainted to a bottle of Jägermeister, than to care about their guests. We had a great view of the bar where they shared a bottle. People on the terrace were served by the sober waitress though. This was a very unique experience for me and even though sometimes this is easy to shrug off, this was not possible this time as literally at every stage the reluctance of the staff was obvious. Good food and generous portions couldn't help this. The meat was also not the highest standards (a bit too fatty), but everything was fresh and the kitchen seems to be very capable. I hope, this was a one-off, but I definitely can't recommend.
We all had great food, hot tasty and nicely presented. Lovely big terrace, as well as classy interior room. Only problem came at payment. We had had problems with places refusing to take a card for payment, requesting only cash! However here we'd seen the card machine out and thought great, sorted. However, they refused to accept a credit card, insisting only debit cards accepted. I can understand if under say 30euros, but we had spent 100 euros. Very unprofessional way to do business with tourists, just to save 1% on their charges.
On a rainy day in Berchtesgaten we chose to have lunch here. Roomy restaurant interior and warmish greeting from waiter. Drinks and food orders taken efficiently and delivered at least up to delivery of main courses: waiters were attentive and efficient till then (there were two) After that it was rather difficult to order coffees and deserts since the waiter seemed to be more focused on polishing his entire canteen of cutlery despite acknowledging our request for service (and indeed that of the diners next to us): the other waiter seemed reluctant to appear too. A pity since food the food was on the whole good; (including a Niçoise salad, Nizza, a seafood tagliatelle and a sage and butter ravioli with spinach). Toilets were clean too. Overall a worthy lunch spot- albeit hopefully our service experience towards the end was a one off.
