Trekroneren Hot Dogs - Bergen

Wouldn’t normally do a review of what on the face of it is simply a pop up takeaway shed but that would be a huge mistake. This was one of the must visit places in Bergen. The member of staff was brilliant and very helpful and the reindeer hotdog with juniper berry sauce excellent. So if you visit Bergen make sure you find time for a food refuel

We sought Trekroneren out when we landed in Bergen. Great polse with a good selection of flavours. I had reindeer my wife had currywurst. 85 Kroner each. I’m going back for the currywurst!

Wide range of dogs. They are huge, so maybe not a late evening snack if you've already eaten earlier. Friendly guy serving who will suggest the best toppings. I had reindeer on this visit, though I heard that the lamb is really good.

Absolutely recommend this place. Typical norwegian food. Friendly staff and great selection. Worth waiting in the looong queue!!

Our group of three tried the Reindeer sausage, frankfurter, and cheese sausage. While I enjoyed the flavor of the cheese sausage the most, I found that the reindeer sausage and frankfurter were under seasoned. Even though I only tried the reindeer sausage with Loganberry sauce, I felt that it lacked the spices and flavor expected from a sausage. Overall, the experience was good and worth trying something new, as reindeer meat is not commonly found in the US. The service was pleasant, and we were happy with our visit to the restaurant.
