I had decided for the soup, followed by the rib eye steak. the others ordered a series of dingen like the house rindfleischburger, a plate of fried mediterannean vegetables, carvings and large court of bark meat in a special sauce. I was intrigued that mailand did not write up any of our commands and thus gave the impression (perfect) of a brilliant memory. after a fairly waiting all the main courses arrived at which point mailand realized that he had forgotten my suppe. I have desserted a free one. I noticed that he later went to the commands of others diner on paper: our lazy afternoon developed slowly to the evening. everyone enjoyed their meal and the relaxed atmosphere of this place. drinks flew, including a series of local Balkan specialties that also came to the house.
This restaurant bar, which was previously traded under the name of the oak and I loved the steaks and atmosphere there. Therefore, I was intrigued to learn how the new management expanded. we have booked a Sunday afternoon with the...request to have a table near the telly to see one of the football World Cup games. our friends knew the new owners and we were warmly welcomed at the arrival and gave the chance to move the furniture to the ideal football viewing. the drinks were soon flowing and, when we waited for our main courses to be prepared, we were really treated deliciously for a large plate of the local Balkan style cooked meat. most of us ordered steak and my filet steak was boiled to perfection, accompanied by a large baked kartoffel and lashing the acid cream. the salatbuffet bar has been added to the firm. our whole party was very satisfied with the eating and extraordinary lengths that the management went to us feel welcome. we will definitely be back even if there is no football to see:
On Father's Day here in Germany our two families decided to go on a long walk with the dogs and finish up with a very late lunch/early dinner at Milan's steakhouse. We were very warmly greeted by Milan who had already pre-prepared a beer and...a bottle of cool water for one in our party. We sat outside and once, again we rearranged the furniture to give our party of enough room to spread out. It took a little while for the rest of us to get our drinks and to order but we were patient. I had decided for the asparagus soup followed by the rib eye steak. The others ordered a range of things including the house beefburger, a plate of fried Mediterannean vegetables, schnitzel and large dish of beef in a special sauce. I was intrigued that Milan didn't write any of our orders down thus giving the impression (unfortunately a false one) of a brilliant memory. After quite a wait all the main courses arrived at which point Milan realised that he had forgotten my soup. For that I got a free dessert. I noticed that later he was committing the orders of other diners to paper : Our lazy afternoon slowly developed into the evening. This restaurant bar previously traded under the name of "Zur Eiche" and I loved the steaks and atmosphere there. I was, therefore, intrigued to learn how, under the new management things were shaping up. We booked at short notice one Sunday afternoon with the...request to have a table near the telly to watch one of the World Cup football games. Our friends knew the new owners and we were warmly greeted on arrival and given the chance to still move the furniture around for ideal soccer viewing. The drinks were soon flowing and, as we waited for our main courses to be prepared we were treated to a large plate of local Balkan style cooked meats really delicious. Most of us ordered steak and my filet steak was cooked to perfection accompanied by a large baked potato and lashings of sour cream. The salad buffet bar added to the feast. All our party was really pleased with the food and extraordinary lengths that the management went to make us feel welcome comfortable. We'll definitely be back even when there is no football to watch :
The service seemed overwhelmed, although the restaurant was max. half filled (saturday evening!). the meat was almost raw, although medium plus ordered, after the complaint it was completely through what is not delicious in itself. the hard is, however, that then a discussion was started about the quality of the meat, instead of acquiring itself decently. on this behavior also changed a donated cream brulée nix. on the tables stand salt and pepper shakers that originate from the food store. I think in a reasonable steakhouse you can expect quietly some more uplifting table utensils. our pfeffer scatterer was still empty. when I mounted it, the service was gonna hit us another, from the side to the table. the dame was not good on this evening. the salatsauce tastes very artificial and is probably not made yourself and if, not good. the sour cream tasted cucumber and was tasteless. as an appetizer I had grilled champignons that were not grilled, but somehow only warmed and swept in fat. all in all: not again!
