Cafe Freudberg - Berlin

Popped in here for some drinks. Nice, relaxed cafe to linger for a bit. Emphasis is on Bio (organic) stuff. They've also got vegan cakes. We didn't try the food but spend some time here hanging out. Service was friendly too.

Our coffees were very good, the biscuit rather not so. Too fatty and sugary, no flavour. Service is slow which we didn‘t mind as we came in for a leisurely hour with our paper, and weren‘t hungry. The atmosphere is quite nice, lots of snug...little tables, with views out onto the street, or in the back room if you want a little quiet.

Came here especially as read a review that vegan cakes were lovely. However, the member of staff who served us made us feel very uncomfortable. He said he couldn't speak English, and we can't speak much German but he made no attempt to help us...and just walked off as we tried to find the words to explain what we wanted. So rude. And the two cakes we tried were just ok. Won't be back.

Sehr gute Kuchen, schönes Frühstück mit gutem Brot und ein freundlicher, entspannter Service. Perfekt für ein wenig Müßiggang.
