Cafe Villa Rixdorf N. Pilawski - Berlin

This is a stand alone house in Neukölln that has character. Locals come here and sit for hours. We had a long evening (3 hours) eating and chatting, just having a wonderful time! This establishment also accept credit card by the way. Not that common in Germany. The food is classic German style and in good quantities. The calf liver and eisbein were outstanding. This is a great place for larger groups as well.

If I could add zero stars I would. We ordered food and beer and nothing happened. We told two more waitresses and still nothing. After more than 30 minutes we left. Avoid!

Brought colleagues here and ALL agreed best meal they had in Berlin. Beef Roulade with mashed and red cabbage just like Mom used to make. Went for dinner a second evening to have the Pickled Knuckle of Pork Eisbein ; a rare treat. Not only excellent traditional German food, great people and service, but ample potions and very reasonably priced. Do not miss a visit to Villa Rixdorf. I will certainly return on future trips to the area.

Good eating and beautiful environment, but slow service. we have always been to get our food, something when it all came great (except that this was a child in our party.

I have been in the villa rixdorf twice, both of which fall in the same week. the menu is Italian and quite standard. many vegetarians.
