Parking in the area was a nightmare we spent more than half an hour drove around trying to...find an empty spot. Once the menu was handed over by a female waitre (she was the only one working that time), I immediately browsed it but finally I gave up since everything was written in German language. This time, I asked my business colleague to select nice food for me. He decided to order the same exact food he was ordering for me : Soup and main course (pork meat, mashed potato and vegetables). The soup was really fantastic and so did the pork (it would be excellent if they provide more gravy on the pork). This time, I couldn't tell exactly the name of the dishes I was having since I didn't order them. But, it's really worth it dining in this particular establishment. Price wise, they were still reasonable (mid range; based on German's standard). Their food is probably one of the best German Food I have ever tasted since the past 15 years. For this reason, I would comfortably provide a 5 stars' rating for them. Be patient as service could get very slow since there was only 1 lady working (at least that's what happened during our visit).
The waiter assisted us, as the venue is mostly locals, and the menu is in German. Large portions, perfectly cooked simple German food. I highly recommend if you want a true German experience.
We have been eating at this restaurant for 14 years. The food is excellent quality, the prices are great and it is the place to go (off the beaten track) for a great schnitzel (10.90 with pommes and salad). I always compare other schnitzels in...Berlin to this restaurant and the others never match up. It is not touristy at all and their hospitality adds to the old world charm inside. There is an old style kegel bahn in the basement, you can rent the lane for 17 euros an hour. Whenever we have family or friends visit, we always make sure we go for a meal and no one is ever disappointed.
Fantastic Bavarian restaurant, off the beaten track, but DEFINITELY worth a visit! The haxe was declared the best by my partner who has sampled the same dish when on tour all over Europe! Incredible value for money, extremely tasty food and brilliant beer! My favourite...place to eat while I lived in Berlin for 4 years.
Excellent food at great prices. This is a secret the locals know about it's on a side street you'll have to look for it. Come early for dinner because it can be hard to find a seat at times. It's traditional German food from...the south and incredibly tasty. Meals are made to order so prepare to wait. For even better deals watch for their specials. Owner is a no nonsense lady who only speaks German but you can order by number off the menu whatever you get it will be excellent.
