Bō Jì Yuè Cài3xīng - Bern

The taste is really good. We like always to order the Noddle soup. The price is affordable. The quantity becomes lesser compared to many years ago. Eventually it is not cheap, compared to another restaurant provides more quantity with higher price.

Since my husband is Chinese we seek out Chinese restaurants nearly everywhere we go. We had dinner here on our first night in Bern. We ordered two classics Mao po tofu, and beef with black bean sauce. Both were OK but not great. Both dishes have strong flavors in their best incarnations but they were pretty mild in the hands of this restaurant. Not sure if they are accomodating Swiss tastes or if they like their dishes mild. The ambiance and service were a bit better than average, nicely set tables, and attentive service. Gang was able to chat with the staff in Mandarin and learn about their specialties and a bit about the Bernese Chinese community pretty small.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen dort und haben zwei Gerichte der Mittagskarte bestellt. Es war das schlechteste chinesische, nein, das schlechteste Essen überhaupt, das wir seit langem gehabt haben, fad, nicht gewürzt, Einheitspampe, Glutamat.... Einfach schrecklich! Wir werden nie wieder dort essen!

Das Restaurant ist interessant für Leute die keine grossen Ansprüche stellen an das Ambiente und an den Geschmack. Man kann das schon essen, aber es gibt wesentlich bessere Chinesische Restaurants.

Sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Kleines Lokal in der Nähe der Welle (Bahnhof). Eng bestuhltes Restaurant. Wir assen Ente und Rindfleisch. Der Reis ist im Preis inbegriffen.Das Gemüse war fein. Doch die Sauce vom Rind war für unseren Geschmack zu sehr Soja-lastig und es hatte weder Cashew- noch Erdnüsse darin. Der Ingwertee wurde in wunderschönem Geschirr serviert. Dass er irgendwie schon aufgebrüht und gesüsst war, ist schade.
