The Aarbergerhof epitomizes all the good vibes the city has to offer and has the flair of bringing people together over a...tasty dish or a glass of wine. Apart from the great and consistent food, it's the atmosphere that brings me back time and time again on my visits to Bern.
Fantastic service and great food. I go there since more than years and am still enjoying every minute and every bite
The menu here is weird, a mishmash of different cuisines, but the reviews were positive so we just gave it a try. Food was very good, we ordered an appetizer but got it prepared differently (shrimp cocktail came out cooked in some shallot juice, but it was really good so no complaints). As I said, the menu is weird so I ordered fish and chips, fish was really good, light batter and cooked well. Fries were solid and the tartar sauce was different than I expected was actually great. Better than most tartar sauces I get usually when I order fish and chips My wife ordered the Spanakopita, she said all the ingredients were fresh though the dough was more like a calzone than a filo dough, but it tasted good Switzerland isn't cheap, so the cost was a bit more than the US (I live in NYC) but with the service fee included it really was close to a wash as to what we would have spent on NYC when you include tip. Service was good, besides getting a different shrimp dish. If I am ever in Bern again, I would go here again. I can see why it's been open since 1973
Busy , a while to wait if no reservations but soooo worth it . Staff is amazing , food is delicious and if I didn't eat my appetizer so fast I would post a pic ; .. Thai appetizer .. meals are more than plenty and tasty ! It's a must when you visit
