Berneray Shop Bistro

We contacted the restaurant ahead of time and the chef created some delicious vegan dishes for us. We started with a green bean and tomato salad with basil dressing or a homemade flatbread with hummus and roasted peppers. For our main courses, we enjoyed a tofu stir fry and a vegetable curry, both of which were very tasty.

This is the only restaurant on Berneray. We ordered takeout and opted for the vegan fish and chips, which turned out to be crispy fried cauliflower that was absolutely delicious.

The vegan chilli and cheese baked potato, Buddha bowl, falafel wrap, oat and soya milk, and vegan flapjacks were all delicious and very welcoming.

The bistro lovely space, friendly staff, good vegan options. I had the jacket potato with beans and vegan cheese, it came with a side salad and crisps. The shop some great vegan options. We bought some lovely stuff for that evening’s meal.

Was very happily suprised to find that the Bistro had both vegan cheese and vegan mayo. They had a vegetable, bean and hummus grilled wrap which my dad and brother said was very good. I had a ciabatta with vegan cheese and pesto which could be had with roasted veg as well. They also had baked potatos and chips. Freindly staff and lovely setting!
