When we travel, we always try to seek out a good local bakery and quite often we will find something we really like. Berry Woodfired Sourdough has been on our list for sometime and we were happy we stopped in for a visit. Set in a cottage in the quiet leafy back streets of Berry, it’s a quaint historic spot that is in keeping with its heritage. Appealing to look at from the outside, and a steady line of people moving in and out, it’s a good sign of what’s behind the doors.
Local produce, done simply but well. Love the bread and eggs here. They provide you with a list of where all their produce comes from and most of it is within the area which is awesome. Coffee's on the weaker side but still ok. Gets crowded on the weekend. Make sure you pick up your bread and pastries before you head off too.
Had a brunch there. I had pumpkin and poached egg salad. It was served within reasonable time. My guests had omelette where I had a little bite it brought me memories of how my grandma made them. Loved the antique tableware. Made my gluten free requirement easier.
The trout and the pork belly dishes were both really good! The flavours and textures all worked really well together! The croissant and the macadamia tart were just good but nothing really special
