Simple Salad Comptoise to start with and then three really well cooked main courses (we had pork belly, pork cheeks and an excellently cooked steak). Small menu and wine list, which I like, and great quality at very reasonable price. Recommended.
The Pig Who Laughs offers daily specials of pork, on a menu with a variety of alternatives. It's small and cozy, with diner-style booths. Seemed to be busy with locals and tourists for lunch and dinner.
We enjoyed dinner here twice in three days. The service was very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming to families. The prices were very reasonable for the tastiness of the food. My husband had a combo plate of chicken and beef skewers and I had a steak and potatoes gratin and salad plate adapted for a vegetarian - delicious. This gem is clearly frequented by locals, and it is obvious why.
Don't try to get just a drink at the "laughing pig": After 20 minutes.pf waiting you'll be referred to another bar. Never. Ever. Again.
Popped in here to escape the drizzle and have a light lunch. Obviously a lot of care has gone into the decor. It was nearly full. The staff were really friendly. The plat de jour was veal in a tasty sauce with mashed celeriac and carrots, which filled us up and warmed us up, for less than 10€ a head. Coffee was great too.Would happily return for a fuller experience.
