We had for appetizers: the organic chicken wings, fried green tomatoes, crab beignets ahi tuna taquitos. For entrees we had shrimp grits, a soft shell crab sandwich (not on menu, was one of the specials) and southern shakshouka. For dessert: I think we ordered everything. We were SO full ? but we enjoyed it all!
Overall the food and drink where pretty good. Had the duck tostados, tuna tacos, and burger. The service was lacking. While not a busy night our server was MIA most of the evening and not very attentive. Had to ask to order entrees, refills on beer and wine, and to get check. I'll return with hopes the service matches the food last night it didn't.
The patio is a wonderful option on a summer night. The food was very good all around. The fries were especially good (they are fried in duck fat). There are gluten free options including a flourless chocolate torte for dessert which was delicious.
We visit B&C every time we're in Bethesda for family visits/business. Great cocktails, excellent wine list, innovative food, and very good service. Wish I had a branch in my town in CT.
Really love the vibe at Barrel and Crow .The night was busy but it didn't interfere with the service or food . We enjoyed some lobster bisque, oysters, soft shell crab and the swordfish was cooked beautifully, tender perfect . It's Rhubarb season and what a yummy dessert of strawberries and rhubarb crisp house made ice cream , toasted pecans . They have a great patio but the rain couldn't decide to start or stop !
