Turns out the website is a couple years old in need of an update. So, the experience did not start well when we could not order the Asian pear martini, the saketini is excellent but the mai tai could be much better (a tall glass of juice with floated rum). Sam was attentive and friendly. We ordered several appetizers and the disappointments came with so much deep fried food. Korean chicken wings in a thick batter not good but the curry sauce was superb. Good dumplings and then again a deep fried pancake. The main course was good, a little sweet for us but to be expected, and Udon bokkeum with pork was a good selection. We did see some sushi platters being served and they looked superb from afar. The last issue was the wine list, out of date and lacking the Gruet we asked for initially. Then the Sancerre on the list is a very good one but is incorrectly priced by a large margin. We left thinking that it was all good enough but could be so much more with a little more owner/manager effort to details.
We had a terrible experience here. We waited well over an hour for our food and had to ask to bring our kids rice because it was taking so long. No explanation why, nothing comped. The waitress was non-communicative. The food was extremely salty and totally overpriced. Everything was twice as expensive as any other Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to. I would not recommend this place at all. It’s a total rip-off.
Varied cuisine for small new England town. Korean Beef Bolgolki too salty but tender. Shrimp Tempura fresh and tasty.
With limited options on a Wednesday winter night, we like sushi and Japanese food, but not our 1st choice when away on a skiing trip, Comfort Food is our norm. However, one of the best meals we have had in years! Hot (temperature) Rice bowl with veggies and chicken was certainly comfort food to us. Strips of RibEye steak with Japanese/Korean veggies with a side of wasabi mashed was a 10! Great local craft beer, Sushi app, and homemade Ginger ice cream topped of one of our most memorable meals in years!
Not Covid safe. No rules. Patrons walking and coughing without masks and utter disregard for others. Most of the wait staff is masked and polite but some of them do the mask on the chin deal/ or none at all in the kitchen behind closed doors (I saw a guy walk out of there with nothing he probably is respirating right into your kimchi and sushi. They pack the place tight too you’ll be enjoying the spray of your neighbors’ conversations while you wait 2+ hours for your food to arrive cause they overbook the place. I don’t know why we didn’t walk out after the first 15 mins cause it’s clearly an S show of a place. Unfortunately Bethel is a small town so not too many options to switch to once you reserve your dinner spot.
