Bacchus of Lebanon is a true treasure tucked away in Montgomery County, and our recent dining experience was absolutely outstanding. From the cozy atmosphere to the delectable dishes, this restaurant has definitely captured our hearts. We chose to embark on a culinary adventure by sampling a variety of items from the menu. The Tabbouleh was a refreshing delight, full of freshness and vibrant flavors. The Zahra makli and Kalage Bel-Jebne served as excellent starters and vegetarian options. The Chicken Shawarma (though not pictured) was also incredibly tasty. We concluded our meal with the Cheesy Knafeh, a dessert that was sheer perfection, achieving the ideal balance of sweetness. And we must mention the Lebanese arak—a must-try for anyone looking to fully embrace the Lebanese experience. It paired beautifully with our meal and added an authentic touch. What truly enhanced our evening was the enthralling performance by the belly dancer, which takes place every Friday night. Her energy and interaction with the audience brought a genuine Middle Eastern charm to the evening. It was a fantastic addition to an already lovely ambiance. Speaking of the atmosphere, the restaurant's aesthetic is simply stunning. From the décor to the lighting, every detail has been meticulously chosen, whisking patrons away to a peaceful corner of Lebanon. Bacchus of Lebanon is now at the top of our list for amazing Lebanese cuisine and great vibes. With its convenient location in Bethesda, you won’t have to travel far to experience the magic of this restaurant.
I recently dined at this restaurant with a girlfriend, mainly to see the belly dance performance. We opted for a Friday night, expecting a lively atmosphere, but it turned out to be less crowded than we had anticipated. However, we decided to enjoy our evening and ordered four different dishes to share, along with a bottle of wine. The standout moment of the night was undoubtedly the belly dancing performance. It was captivating and brought an energetic vibe to our dining experience. Watching the dancer move elegantly to the music was truly a special and enjoyable experience.

Went down to Bethesda to meet up with an out-of-town friend who came into DC this week for work. Chose Bacchus mainly due to its reviews, and we were all glad. We sat out in the patio area to enjoy a breezy spring evening. Ordered a few drinks like grapefruit mule and Mediterranean blue. Delicious. Not much alcohol so enjoyed the sweetness. We had a feast with shawarma with chicken, kofta, salmon and salad. The bread and oil were both great. Great meal. Great service. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the dust on the plates and cups. Because the table settings were already on the table in the patio, there was a visible amount of dust/street dust on the dinnerwares. I had to wipe off the plates before placing my bread on it.
We started with the fried cheese, special hummus and Baba ghanoush. The fried cheese was Ok, nothing special. The hummus special was good with the ground lamb but also didn't stand out. I liked the Baba ghanoush and would get it again. The combination bacchus really good. The lamb skewers done medium were some of the best lamb I've ever had! Definitely recommend getting something with lamb skewers if you enjoy lamb
