The Silver Fountain - Betws-y-Coed

My partner and I dined here for the first time today, and it definitely won’t be our last visit. Both the appetizers and main dishes were outstanding—well-cooked and generously portioned. My main course was probably the best vegetarian dish I’ve ever had, to be honest. The staff was also fantastic. If I could give more than five stars, I would! I can’t wait to return and explore more of the extensive menu.

We made a reservation at the Silver Fountain in advance, as Sally mentioned it was possible for Saturday evening. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Sally at the bar. She informed us about the specials of the day and showed us to our table. We started with the goat cheese and red wobble jam, which came with a green salad garnish—it was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the lamb dish, while my partner went for the ham, chicken, and leek cake. He could only manage to finish his dish, as the portions were quite generous. I opted for the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream for dessert. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. We would have rated it even higher if there had been more craft beers, canvases, or eggs available, but overall it was a lovely evening.

A beautiful old-fashioned and traditional pub in Betws-y-Coed with high quality food. while the menu is varied, the options are a little limited, but there are many special boards up offering a lot more options. starter, main and glooms are covered and waiting for them is not so long! that is, the place is quite quiet, although this jewel of a place should be much more popular. the meals are a bit expensive, but it is worth 100%. the place is clean and well managed, although the arrival to the parking lot (especially on motorcycles) is a challenge with a rough and steep slope. if they are in the opposite, they must visit!

An absolute jewel of an orte! we come every year after wales and visit this place every time. sad to hear, sally will move, but I hope it keeps its great homely feeling and fabulous food. simply the best vegetarian food I had, and the meat dinners look amazing! I was so trying to see my friends.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant, which boasts a fantastic and truly traditional atmosphere. The real log fire added to the cozy ambiance. We both opted for the Sunday roast; she chose the beef while I went for the lamb. The portion sizes were generous—too much for her, so we ended up swapping some of her mashed potatoes and beef for a taste of my lamb. Everything was well-cooked and flavorful. I left feeling completely satisfied!
