I love TGOTA. I have been going there off and on for decades now and it's always on point, high end American fare served in that a la carte, old school, New York style I go for the lobster bisque, superlative steaks and seafood, a dover sole piccata to die for, and the key lime pie etc. The bar is amply stocked and the original cocktails are solid and good, all made by trained bartenders who understand the power of friendly service, what w their all buttoned up vests and attire. Oh, let's not forget the room BEAUTIFUL. High ceilings, clean, bright, booths and a magical art collection anchoring the walls perfectly... Go. Look for Pamela the host who never forgets a face and hope you get Steve as your waiter: he's been there 30 years and knows it all inside and out.
We go for the chicken pot pie and it did not disappoint. Even a Ron Howard siting.
Great place to go for a drink Their lamb and veal chops are excellent
