While it may not offer the best sushi in town, this restaurant provides the convenience of ordering through the Citizens Go app on your phone with free delivery. Deliveries never take longer than 30 minutes, allowing me to enjoy sushi while my kids have burgers simultaneously. The truffle avocado roll is a standout dish, and the Spicy tuna is also delicious. Personally, I'm not a fan of the nigiri, but that's just my preference. The dine-in experience is decent, but I prefer ordering delivery from this place.
I used Uber Eats to have my order delivered from this restaurant. I specifically ordered two boxes of Krispy Heaven, each supposed to contain two shrimp. However, when I opened the boxes, there were no shrimp inside. Instead, they had been replaced with Gyoza without informing me beforehand. I was still charged $35 for each box, which I felt was too high for what I received. I expected the sushi to be of good quality and taste, but unfortunately, it was just average. The sushi lacked flavor and the rice was soggy instead of crispy. The only things I enjoyed were the salmon and ginger. It was disappointing to receive subpar food from a restaurant associated with Katsuya. I will not be ordering from this place again.
Blech! We discovered this place inside a ghost kitchen inside Umami Burger, on Beverly Drive. It's truly disgusting. What was I thinking? Why order sushi in a joint that also serves hamburgers, Louisiana fried chicken, and cake? If you want good sushi, Sushi Kiyono half a block south is tasty and just a few dollars more. We ate on the patio, so the food was fresh and given a fighting chance. But blech! The spicy tuna on crispy rice was greasy and gross. And this is the signature item! The various sushi items were nasty and sludgy, and the ginger was almost frozen. I can't believe Katsuya is connected to this operation. The only thing good about this place is the cute logo. P.S. My son reminded me I once ordered it takeout, and we all felt sick. So, shame on me.
Krispy rice sushi is not the best sushi you will ever had BUT if you are in the mood for delivery decent Americanized Japanese sushi and rolls it is not a bad choice The crispy rice with the chopped ahi was the best of the four on my plate The crab and tuna rolls were ok The tempura shrimp was tasty but certainly nothing like I have had at a great Japanese tempura bar All in all not bad as long as you are not expecting Nobu or Matsuhita quality
