Tong Thai Dee - Bezirk Affoltern

Together with my Thai wife, we lived almost a year in Zurich. Although this place is currently not high on TripAdvisor, the 5 or so Thai restaurants we have tried together in Zurich, this is our favorite. You always have at least one vegetarian dish and we both enjoyed the food and service every time we have been. In addition, it is right next to Wollishofen tram stop and is super convenient to get a quick and good bite.

A great place with a good selection of high quality Thai dresses, nice staff and a charming interior. I'm going back!

Tong Thai Dee is located above the street from Wollishofen Train Station and is accessible by S-Bahn (S8 or S24) or Tram #7. The menu is available for the whole week with selection of curry dishes along with daily specialties with beef,... chicken, seafood and vegetables price of CHF 14.50-16.50 for din in or taking. Upon arrival, the host/owner folded aprons and personal shirts on the largest dining table. There are also two other tables that can accommodate four people, a high standing table inside and two outside. Simple decorations on the wall, but the shop window is full of Thai inspired ornaments. Also, behind the entrance door is a kind of stubborn area with tables, chairs, a recycling box and various other items that I have on their 5. Year anniversary celebration was allowed to visit and they offered all meals, only for this day, at CHF 5 from the regular price. I ordered the beef in red curry with rice. The beef was tender and also had green beans, bamboo shoot and zucchini. The food was good, very spicy, but perhaps too much for the average European taste bud, but I enjoyed it. The host and the staff were friendly and the uni-sex toilets were clean. You are closed on weekends The jubilee prices were a lot and I would certainly visit again for the regular price menu.

Price performance is totally true. for a small portion where really generous is created, you pay for chf 12.00. you can't say anything. eating is always very tasty. once, the poulet at the nude is much very dried. but otherwise top!
