I ordered a pad sew ew with chicken, friends ordered some noodles in thai spicy, and very spicy. Both their orders weren 't remotely spicy. Almost all of our noodles were undercooked, tough, and flavorless. Had to ask the waiter to give us more spices to use ourselves. Also, the pad sew ew came with broccoli, not bok Choi, and there were no eggs in the dish. Very disappointed and overpriced. Not sure if it 's overpriced to rip off college students with no taste buds? Thai iced tea was decent, but there was a strange taste to it. Must 've been the Florida water ?Despite all the negatives, the appetizers were very good. We ordered the appetizer tasting menu and were very impressed, but I don 't think I can ever touch Thai food in Gainesville again.
This is $25 dollars worth of food. The rice isn't even fried. The food is consistently bad via delivery.
Nice place in University Avenue, with parking in the rear. The atmosphere is really nice and there are a few outside tables fronting the avenue.Service is excellent, really polite as well.Chicken Satay is a great appetizer they really got great flavor in the sauce. The sushi is pretty good but they use krab instead of crab and the propensity of offerings seem to include cream cheese and eel sauce, to the point I just went with a krab roll, instead of any 'real ' sushi. My Daughter had the Manhattan roll and, while that wouldn 't be my normal choice, I tried a piece and it was actually really good. Price range on sushi is about 5.00 to 30.00 per roll. For Entrees the selection is Huge. For a lot of the stuff you pick the dish, then you select the meat, or combination of meats... ranging from chicken to duck (which meat affects the price). We had Garlic and Pepper mixed meats and it was excellent sauce it was cooked in was close to perfection. We also had a ginger salad that I am sorry to say I would not recommend.Soda is by the can, not fountain if that makes a difference to anyone.Pricing, overall, isn 't bad. I think we spent close to 53.00 for a very large 2 person lunch. That was appetizer, an entree, a soda, a salad and several sushi rolls. The portions were pretty good and I was happy with the price considering what we got.Overall we really enjoyed it and will be back at some point.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.Kid friendliness: Nice place to take the kidsParking: Located behind the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Lot is in the rear of the building and the entrance is in the front so...not exactly the most convenient for wheelchair or walker access.
Best food in Gainesville, FL. I am so disappointed with the options around here that I keep coming back to this Thai restaurant. The fried calamari is fresh, meaty... simply delicious. The green curry with chicken dish is divine. The seafood soups with coconut milk and fresh herbs are heavenly.I have tried other dishes, but I love their curries the most.Prices are fair! Service is great!
Got tofu egg fried rice (spicy) it was phenomenal! The egg was good, veggies were fresh, tofu was spot on and spice and onion on top finished it perfectly. Kudos to the
