Walt's Diner - Big Moose

I worked in Old Forge for two summers and never walked in to eat. I tried with my friends a few years back but the place was so busy. Yesterday I had the opportunity to stop in. I called ahead knowing I wanted breakfast as I would be a few minutes past 12 which is when they change over for lunch. I arrived, sat down at the counter and started to enjoy my meal. At this point it had been prepared for sometime and was cold. Athena, the waitress, noticed I was eating cold biscuits and gravy when she asked if I’d like it warmed up. I was able to enjoy a hot breakfast in the middle of a lunch rush, and spoke with the staff: Ally, Cosette, few others. I’d like to state that Athena did a great job, the food was absolutely delicious and the other staff were very hospitable. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend.

Normally really good food. This time a flavorless roast beef sandwich on disintegrating bread and undercooked fries.

Stopped in for lunch, best cole slaw I've had in a while. Service was excellent, friendly wait staff. If you're in Old Forge, definitely stop in, you won't be disappointed.

Friendly and homey atmosphere, quick and personalized service. Food cooked deliciously to order. Omelets are filled to the brim with fresh veggies! I had a feta cheese, potato, and fresh spinach omelet with hearty bacon on the side. We come here regularly and it is our favorite Breakfast Diner. The bathrooms are impeccably clean. Keep up the great work!!
