They had a vegan soup on the menu (which was quite bland) and they were able to veganize my avocado toast by making oil for butter. I didn't think to check if the bread was vegan (it didn't look like any of the pastries). Cute place, but not very vegan-friendly.
This is an empty look “the soup is gluten-free. we do not really have something vegan’ type of space. We literally stopped here because the previous post they had options and it was a total mistake. Don't stop.
In a small town without many restaurant options, I am so grateful that the Big Sur Bakery always offers a vegan, gluten-free soup for lunch. It is consistently full of taste and homemade goodness. The menu has a section of vegetable dishes to be served as pages, but I always order one as a salad starter and soup as my main soup. The vegetable dishes are large portions with very creative flavor combinations and make me feel completely impressed. The atmosphere of the bakery is relaxed and unpretentious catering for both campers visitors from the upscale hotels nearby. There is a mix of outdoor seating for warm weather or cozy tables in the interior for an intimate dinner. Dog-friendly outdoor seating.
