The wine recommendations were also fantastic. This place is definitely worth a visit. We look forward to returning again in the future.
Fabulous night start to finish. The food is outstanding as was the wine tasting with each course. Beautiful cosy restaurant. If you’re in Big White put this on your must do list.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the service was just okay with waitresses who were pleasant but lacked knowledge of good service. A hefty service charge is added to the bill without explanation. The wine was delicious, thanks to a friend's recommendation, as the waitress knew very little about Okanagan wines. The food was tasty with generous portions, but the plates were cold which made the food lukewarm. The meat was cooked rare as per the chef's preference, not the customer's. Overall, the restaurant was a bit disappointing and very expensive. Despite coming to Big White every year, I probably wouldn't eat here again.
Our date night dinner on the mountain. The service was impeccable. restaurant is only small and only does two sittings, so book in advance. Great list of local Okanagan Valley wines (try them! and the menu changes weekly, with some favorites left in place I had the Bison and I highly recommend it. Make this your special night out whilst you're on the mountain.
We were lucky enough to get reservations for a tasting dinner (with wine pairings at 6 Degrees while we were on the mountain for vacation. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The service was splendid and the food was absolutely spectacular comparable to the best restaurants I 've visited.. The restaurant is small and cozy not too formal, very comfortable When we walked in, the staff immediately took our coats and handed us a lovely sparkling wine. The tasting menu was nothing short of a dream menu scallop ceviche, black cod, foie gras, beef tartare, octopus, bison, and chocolate.(I snapped a photo of the many so that I could remember it. The wines were all from Liquidity and were expertly paired with the dishes. (We were lucky enough to have the wine maker there for the dinner and she and the owner introduced each course and pairing. Preparations were painstaking and everything was delicious. My only critique is that some of the preparations were busy with lots of elements or garnish. In a few instances, these detracted rather than enhanced the primary flavors of the dish. (The dessert was one such dish with 5 6 elements, including chocolate soil and meringue dust . If you are going to be at Big While and you are a foodie, you need to make a reservation at 6 Degrees. You won 't be sorry.
