The location is the top floor of the Gran Hotel Domine directly across from the Guggenheim Bilbao. It has a light open feel. Since January is off season, instead of the usual breakfast buffet, you can order hot items off the menu and have a selection of cereals, fruits, yogurts, etc. to choose from. The service is spot on. Friendly and attentive. The view offers you a fantastic view of the Guggenheim. Its shape, light and color constantly changing with the sun and clouds. I have not been here for cocktails but I can imagine it being a nice sunset early evening spot.
Very expensive but has a great view! If you are wealthy then its a great place to go! The wine and coffee was 4 euros each. Paying for the view!
We lost our way to the Guggenheim one morning. After all was 2 blocks from our accommodations so we ended up at this delightful terrace dining room looking out to the magnificent view of Gehry's masterpiece design. They had everything on the menu, fresh zumo, fresh grapefruit juice, etc. Proseco Cava, eggs anyway you wanted them freshly made, fresh pastries, fresh breads smoked salmon, Serrano hams, American style bacon as well as British, manchego chesse, goat cheeses, fresh fruit, porridge, potatoes, a variety of carve meats, eggs Benedict, fresh asparagus, wonderful coffee. Loved it the service was exceptional friendly. It had not been our plan to eat so much or at such an expensive restaurant for breakfast but to turned out perfect.I told my husband it would pay about what we would pay for breakfast at the Palliser in Calgary but when I got the bill it was actually less... We did not eat on the Terrance as it was raining a bit and there was this woman on a high stool puffing away at everyone that. Definitely would go back. But it would be our main meal of the day...No hesitation to recommend the place
An excellent café serving everything from coffee to sangria alongside tasty tapas and other traditional foods and all at reasonable prices.
