I have a very different, 'inner ' experience of the place because I volunteered here for one month. I lived in the treehouse dormitory (Ecostay), which sounds like a dream. As a part of the work exchange, I waited the tables at the cafe, and dealing with the customers during my shift hours. I saw their everyday functioning, from setting it all to packing up. It was a great experience, I would say and one of the most interesting work I 've done. 'Saraya ' cafe is a beautiful space tucked in nature and is great for both chilling with friends/ family and as a calm, co working space. They are known for the Vegan and gluten free options in the menu. A lot of times, I witnessed people from the Jain community appreciating the food. They are also known for the wood fired oven pizzas. They 've recently opened the cafe for all day 9am to 11pm, and have diversified the menu too. So, you must check them out! Note: Quite often, a lot of interesting events happen here, so must follow them to avoid missing out.
Its a very bare minimum place. Dont expect anything except for the very bare minimum. we booked this for 1500 and definitely feel a pinch because on other websites, its 900 something. They live up to their motto, which is that they're eco friendly so, they dont have any energy backups, so if there's no electricity it can get pretttyy hot, especially in the tree house. the experience of staying in the mud house is fantastic though. there are wooden branches supporting the walls, and the design is an archetype of the ancient indian mud house. THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. people on vacations often crave luxury or modern living, and this place is the opposite, so do your research before you book it to avoid any surprises. Food's also normal.
Had the best stay at Saraya Ecostay. We stayed there for 3 weeks and alternated between the Earth Room and Treehouse. Both were super comfortable, with an extremely unique and na natural aesthetic. The staff was courteous and friendly- attending to all our needs that arose during the course of the stay... Not to mention the soulful food. A very regenerative stay overall and a wonderful option for those looking at sustainable tourism or a unique experience in Goa. Recommend!
Was disappointed as the reviews online are great. The soup lacked flavour. The pizza was okayish.
