The price of the house white wine at £33 was a bit steep for our liking. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable experience with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere.
This restaurant is one of my favorites and always maintains a high standard.
I went for afternoon tea with some friends on Friday, June 17th. We arrived on time but had to wait 10 minutes to be seated as the waiter was busy with another customer. There seemed to be staff present but not much was being done, even with two young boys looking for a lighter in the same area. After finally being seated, we were given menus. It took another 10 minutes for someone to come take our drink order, the same person who had seated us. He seemed to be the only one actually working, but even he forgot our drinks, leading us to chase the order 10 minutes later. When the drinks finally arrived, the server was very apologetic. The person who was serving us was friendly, but the overall service speed from others seemed lacking. The food was great, but the service was not up to par.
Would recommend wynyard to my friends ans family because we were made to feel very special.
The atmosphere was excellent, the table was elegant. Staff helpful and polite but the menu was very poor, when the food did arrive there was more plate food
