Several kitchen members could be heard arguing, the waitress was was distracted, irritable and her clothing was dirty. The young girl who filled our waters was upset, in dirty clothing and irritable. So sad, people streamed in and out of the kitchen and then stood outside to vape. We overheard several remarks about being out of that , so at that point we exchanged a look with another couple in the place and tipped for the water and chips and left. Two years ago we enjoyed their food a great deal. I hope for their sake something shifts, the food used to be good and authentic.
Used to be a great place with very authentic Mexican food but apparently they 're under new management they give out small portions for insane amounts the staff are rude and snooty they tell you that the dishes come with certain things and there 's no charge for them but then they charge you 3$ for the items they tell you come with the dishes they lie about almost everything pretty much and the workers aren 't required to put their hair up so who knows how much hair is in the dishes they serve waited 25 minutes for our food while watching everyone around us get their food even though we were there way before them and then we asked how long for our food and they said we 'll start cooking it now 25 minutes after we ordered it DO NOT waste your money or your time here the place is a joke now
Really unimpressed. I'm sure that they (El Corral) are doing the best they can but the food was just okay and same for the service. Nothing to want me to go back real soon. Do yourself a favor and just cook at home it would be easier and much better.
Great food and very friendly service. The atmosphere is by no means fancy, however, feels like home. Great homemade food and personable waitress and kitchen staff.
I don't usually make posts like this, especially since I was raised around the restaurant industry. This is the third time I've gone to El Corral in Billings and been extremely offended. I can't tolerate dairy in any capacity due to be deathly allergic to it, not lactose intolerance.. like my throat will close up and I'll have to stab myself with my epi pen and go to the hospital. Anyways, the last few times I've been there, they have put cheese on it when I asked for no cheese and politely ask them to fix it, I'm used to this happening so i don't get frustrated with it anymore. What was frustrating was when the ladies in the back were giving me glares for sending the food back, blaming me for not asking for no cheese... when I clearly do, every time... like every place I go. She then continued to cuss about it and glare, as if me sending it back was a choice, when it definitely is not. One of the times they even scraped off the cheese and then gave me the same plate with the same food... with the remnants of cheese still on there. The early afternoon staff is fantastic and is always extremely nice, but the evening staff is horrendous. This is my favorite Mexican food in town, but due to the rude treatment on numerous occasions, I will most likely not be returning. Thank you for listening to my vent, carry on with your day!
