This shouldnt be called a resort it 's very far from it. The venue is pretty and on a golf course, so when you rent a condo you can choose the lake view or golf course view. The condos are spacious but there are too many silly rules and requests to follow for a resort. These include: *dishes there 's a note inside the kitchen that says the dishes have been washed but not sanitized.. wtf?! Like thanks for rinsing dishes and putting unsanitary utensils back in the drawers. That 's sure normal.. not. You have to wash the dishes provided BEFORE using them. THEN they ask you to clean the kitchen up before departure and clean all dishes. Why do WE clean it? Isn 't this a resort? *towels they give you x amount of towels.. and also have a note that if you need more, you have to bring your own. How accommodating! *trash you have to take out your own trash before you check out. Huh?! At a resort?! Ok. *linens the bed linens are so sad. They 're thin and old and i saw some strands of hair on the comforter. Barf. It 's pretty pricey for what you get, and i wish they 'd take it up a notch to make it worth something for guests. It felt like the owners have no idea about hospitality these days and charge guests way too much for the rentals, so much so that guests have to put in work themselves while on vacation.
My photo is of the dry aged sirloin for $24. I ordered it medium/rare. It came well done, tough, and worst of all- cold. Then when I pointed it out kindly, the waitress took it personally and argued with me which embarrassed me in front of the whole bachelorette party. I should have just left it on the plate and kept my mouth shut. I 'll never be back here again, nor will any of our families. Wow. The story: We called in our group of 12 at 5pm, got here at 7pm on a Friday. There are about 10 tables total between the dining room and patio. Got a table right away for our group. The waitress warned us it would be a little slow because of new staff, but we had no idea what we were in for. At 8:30 we still hadn 't gotten our second round of beers/drinks (ordered as soon as the first ones came out to save time). The server came out 40 minutes after taking our food order to tell us some things were no longer on the menu. That should be notified right away. We 're still here and waiting for meals and I don 't expect them for a while yet. I wish I was at least drinking, it would make the food wait easier to take. But I 'm still waiting for a second tequila soda water. Edit: it 's now 9pm and our group didn 't plan on being here this long. Ladies are literally buying sweatshirts from the pro shop while we wait for our fish. Still haven 't gotten second round of drinks. I hope this business gets their stuff together.
Went to the tagalong restaurant while staying there for a Friday/Saturday nite. It is seat yourself. We had a 7pm reservation for 4. It was about 1/3 full in Dining area. It took 10 minutes (we times it) before we got a glass of water. We brought in a bottle of wine fully expecting to pay a corkage fee but we were told since they carried the same kind of wine the corkage fee would be the same as the bottle of wine. It took another 10 minutes before we flagged down a server to take our orders. Those poor servers were running like mad dogs. You could see the sweat running down them. When we went to place our order we were told that anything other than the fish special would take awhile. The fish was already prepared. We were smart and ordered the fish. When it came out 20 minutes later it was dry, and tasteless. Basically really bad. The server asked how how unfinished meals were and we told her. They took off $1.00 per person. I had a stomach ache during the night. Not sure if it was connected to what I are. Not doing this again.
We pulled off the highway on a whim and fortunately we eventually found Cheers at Tagalong. The bartender made perfectly spicy **** Mary 's and we had a great time chatting over nachos and bork sliders for my husband which is a mixture of beef and pork. Great spot to stop for a drink and lunch in the area.
