Great stop when you travel and look for a decent vegan meal. Not quite cheap, but also not very overpriced. Updated by previous rating on 2022 08 25
We were not convinced that we could find more than toast or pommes as an option, but my friend had the vegan hot dog and pommes and really enjoyed it. You also had a falafel and Spinat Burger option from which you could remove Mayo. Some more veggie options including cheese toasties etc.
Karam’s restaurant is the best place for delicious Halal food. I love her service so fast. Managers and employees are so friendly and humble with their customers. They also give the discounts that are very helpful for students and call to individuals. The most important thing! It's very clean. Very recommended!
We entered here today while it sprinkled and grey and the streets all around were closed because of the world games. They were open, surprising, because there was hardly a soul, but I am so glad they were! We ordered hummus and a falafel sandwich. We were the only customers there just because, how bad the weather was and the streets were closed, but the people at the counter were nice. The food took a few minutes to get out, it's not fast food, but it was pretty fast. I felt nice to know they were back to make our food fresh - I could literally see the steam from the frit in the kitchen. The hummus was beautiful, creamy and rich in taste, possibly the best I ever had. The falafel sandwich was a regular size, but full and dense with ingredients. I only filled half of it and my friend had the other half. If you were very hungry, you could end one yourself, but it's a serious sandwich! It had fresh tomatoes and cucumber on it and the falafel was warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - so good. Certainly ask for their spicy sauce and garlic sauce and put them both on your sandwich. It was delicious, I and my friend stuffed our faces and “mmh”ing and “oh my gosh”ing during the meal. Hands down the best Middle Eastern food and falafel in Birmingham, and definitely some of the best I ever had. The place is small and old school inside, it is not so much about the ambience, it is about the amazing food! We'll be back.
