Krystal - Birmingham

I placed an order on the website at 9:24 PM, but when I arrived at the store, they told me they had no food available. They refused to give me a refund or cancel my order. Meanwhile, I saw Grubhub delivering two orders while I was at the store trying to get a refund. It's clear that they are still accepting orders even though they have no food. This feels like a scam.

The food at this restaurant was delicious, but my issue is with the manager. I placed my order at the drive-thru, but no one responded after I spoke. I waited for a few minutes and tried saying hello a few times, but still received no response. I decided to drive up to the window and ask there. The woman working at the window was very nice, but when she mentioned to the manager that the speaker may be malfunctioning, the manager immediately started yelling at me, accusing me of lying and insisting that there was nothing wrong with the speaker. She continued to yell at me during the entire interaction. I typically don't leave reviews, but this behavior was unacceptable. The manager, a black woman with a large bun of braids, did not provide her name but I assume she was the manager.

The drive-thru at this restaurant is consistently slow, but occasionally you encounter a staff member with good customer service skills. However, I would strongly advise against ordering the wings from this location, or perhaps any location. While they used to be great, my recent experiences have been disappointing. I ordered 20 wings a few days ago and they were terrible. Today, I tried ordering 10 wings just to see if it was a bad batch, but unfortunately they were just as bad. I used to enjoy Krystal's wings, but now it feels like I am just wasting my money. I bit into three different wings and had to spit them out each time due to their taste and texture. If my ankle wasn't broken, I would have requested a refund. I'm not sure if it's the grease or if the wings have been frozen, but this quality is simply unacceptable.

The idiots have a message when you call but you can’t talk to a real person to see if they cook Krystal’s hamburgers in the morning time or do like the clowns did at the store on 119 in Pelham that closed. Oh the grill isn’t on. Well how are you cooking everything

Once again I went to this Krystal expecting them to be open when they say they are open and once again I was disappointed. If you are lucky enough to actually get some food when you come here, it's tasty, but it's really hit or miss whether or not they will be open during the hours they say they are open. I mean really, this has happened too many times to be abnormal, it seems like they just don't care whether they are open to serve you or not.
