Unless you go to a high end Mexican place (and there aren 't many of them), you will not find food this good or even comparable. We eat at several Mexican joints around Birmingham and they are cheap, fast, and reasonably good. But Lindo is in another league for food quality. As far as higher-end Mexican goes, there is Little Donkey, if you call them Mexican. I call them more like Tex Mex barbecue fusion or something like that. They are fantastic and well worth a visit. But for straight ahead Mexican, Lindo is tops. They cost a little bit more. You won 't find the $6 lunch plate like at some places, but there 's a reason for that. The food is too good for that price point and the extra couple bucks is well worth it.
Our default stop for Mexican food. Delicious, quick and the staff feels like family. Get here early because the parking lot fills up quick!
Went for happy hour recently and had a real good time! I highly recommend this place! Only complaint is that the $3 Margaritas had as much alcohol as you would expect. (So I shouldn't complain).
The food was pretty good. The service was great and the prices were too. The chorizo/chicken dish I got was delicious. I heard good things about their steak and mushroom quesadillas as well.
C+ rating for the First Visit. We’ve been meaning to check out Mexico Lindo for years now and although we pass it while driving down Highway 280 weekly, we always seem to forget about it. My brilliant husband reminded me of it while we were shopping this past Saturday afternoon and we agreed that we had to check it out. I’m not sure why I thought it would be the average strip mall ambience, but I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It was warmly decorated and sectioned off into 3 different dining sections, which made the space feel warm and cozy. We were seated in the bar area along the wall, which I thought would be loud and drafty. Nope – I never even noticed that we were sitting next to the bar. We received very friendly, prompt service and the gentleman that served us was very helpful with the menu – explaining each dish that was in question. I chose the Quesadilla Sincronisada with Shrimp that was served with rice and beans. It was really good – I would definitely get it again. My hubs chose the Pollo a la Charra, served with rice, beans and chorizo. The chicken was super tender and flavorful. Overall, we really liked Mexico Lindo and will return when the craving hits us. I would give Mexico Lindo a C+ for our first visit.
