Real Rosemary Homewood - Birmingham

My family, including two children under six years old, had a delightful dining experience at Real and Rosemary. The food was fresh and flavorful. We were initially concerned about the lack of child-friendly options, given the restaurant's upscale ambiance, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our kids tried grilled chicken for the first time during our first visit, and on a return visit, they enjoyed pasta and meatballs, which were quite large. In addition to the kid-friendly options, we also ordered crab cakes, Brussels sprouts with bacon, and whole fried okra, all of which were delicious. A pro tip: make sure to save room for the cake cups, which are sourced from a nearby bakery.

The distinctive dishes resembled the photos on the website. The food was fresh and it's a great spot for a nutritious lunch. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Reuben sandwich and sweet potatoes.

I had a great time at this restaurant! The atmosphere is charming and amusing. The food is delicious and they offer some unique menu options that you don't come across often (though they also have more common choices if you prefer). There are dishes that I typically don't care for or find too ordinary, but they prepare them in a way that I really enjoyed. Even though I'm not usually a fan of meatballs, I couldn't get enough of their fantastic real and rosemary-infused ones.

Atmosphere, hospitality, and quality this place really has it all. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after a lovely hike at Oak Mountain. We were hungry and mildly worn. Upon entering we were super impressed by the textured atmosphere and furnishings, the staff answers all of our foodie questions, and they employ a clearly demarcated GF menu. The portions were ample and the quality remarkable. This was a real win for us.
