The Dollhouse At Paper Doll

Overall, I was always impressed by Paper Doll. We have always enjoyed the entire atmosphere of the place and drinks they have to offer. About a month ago some friends and I booked places for the doll house at Paper Doll. We had been looking forward to it for months and I even had people from the city. When we arrived, the host told us that the dollhouse was not open at the moment. This was surprising because we had received notifications about our reservations for some time. He told us that they were low on the staff, what we understood completley, and that they would not be able to eat us back there. I told him that I totally understand that they were short employees, and we wouldn't complain yet expect ordinary service, but really wanted in Dollhouse because of 1) our big group size, and 2) the fact that we celebrated birthdays. He was very friendly but not knocking, but was very helpful to make sure that we sit on Paper Doll in regular seats. It ended all right, and we did all push and fit on the stands, but it was still not what we had expected. The next time it would be great to know before the time if the place where we book is not open because we would have gone 100% to another bar if we had known in advance. The host was helpful and tried, but it was still frustrating that we came about 20 guests and no idea that the room should be closed. They also suggested that we have booked it on a separate website, but on OpenTable it was not clear that you had to do this with large groups. Besides, drinks were great and the staff was friendly and helpful, just write this review to help anyone who could do the same in the future.

I Loved My Pre-Celebration For My 30th Birthday Here! The drinks were good, they had snack and small bites to go with the cocktails and champagne. Paper Doll was very organized and they had me a private area in The Dollhouse available as soon as I walked in to give my name ! I would give This place a 10/10. Paper Doll is by far my favorite bar in Birmingham. Their craft cocktail menu is extensive and every cocktail I’ve ever tried has been spot on. The ambience and atmosphere is so sexy at Paper Doll. I didn’t think I could love this bar more until they opened the Dollhouse!!!! OMG it’s like an experience all on its own! Last night, there was even a magician giving each table their own little show! The magician blew my mind! The experience was topped off by the delightful owners who were mingling with their guests. They made the evening seem like a special event.

I didn't enjoy the seating location, furniture, nor the waiter. We were sat right in the doorway of the rear room at a seater table. The chair that would allow me to sit next to my date was directly in the walkway at the front of the room require a person sitting there to move everytime anyone in the room wanted to leave. No redbull, are you kidding me? Nothing special for Valentine's Day either. I was very disappointed.

It was excellent—exceeded all expectations and the perfect combination of music, cocktails, and decor.
