There are too many good breweries in Birmingham to put up with rude staff. If you read through the reviews, it seems to be a recurring theme of bad service.
I honestly thought I hated beer until some friends invited me to TrimTab. I lived in the PNW before I moved to Birmingham, and was surrounded by heavy beer drinkers...and not once did anyone there say to me Hey, you like ciders and seltzers...you should try a sour! Now, I look forward to all of the small batches and new releases. I have yet to try any beers at TrimTab that haven 't been tasty... even beyond the comfort zone of my sours, ha.It 's easy to get to, and a place where I 'm comfortable going by myself at night as a female. The parking lot is lit up well enough, and the patio is usually populated enough that it feels safe. I am very anxious and I worried so much about not being cool enough to go there, but got over it pretty fast. The staff are SUPER nice, and the other patrons all seem very cool. It 's very welcoming and LGBTQ+ friendly. And the best part is, on any given day, you will meet at LEAST one good doggo. It 's a great vibe. Very positive. Very chill.Life is busy, but I 'm making an effort to go at least once a week because I just love it there. I would recommend TrimTab to any and every one who wants a great place to hang out and enjoy yummy beverages.
This is by far my favorite brewery around Birmingham. I live 20 minutes North of Atlanta and makes the drive several times a year to pick up Brewery only releases. The vibe at Trimtab is laid back and chill. Great outdoor area as well as large indoor space. Staff is always super friendly. Plenty of parking also. Me and some friends started a hashtag a couple of years ago and it’s kinda stuck.. #TrimtabTuesday ?
Really cool brewery, very big. This place was packed but still had plenty of room when I visited. Really cool atmosphere and vibe. The ipa was amazing, and the key lime pie sour was out of this world! We had movie candy sour from Publix when we got in town and that was so good. Definitely a must stop
I have been to this location several times, tend to enjoy my visit. The beer is fair, I enjoy trying their small batches. Would have loved to give a 5 star review, however my last experience was less than, due to a staff member. I have seen dogs inside several times, and have even brought mine inside while ordering. Never had a problem, until a staff member yelled at me as I entered the door, NO DOGS INSIDE! I exited and sent my husband inside to order my beer. About 45 minutes later, I went inside to use the bathroom, and saw three dogs seated at tables with their owners... Not sure why mine was not permitted to enter.
