The Ivy Temple Row - Birmingham

I usually love The Ivy, but I had a disappointing experience this time. The steak I ordered was inedible on two occasions. However, the service was excellent, and the staff and ambiance were so great that I almost overlooked the food issues.

The food is delicious, and the service is excellent, but you're definitely paying for the name. While they do provide water for the table, there are extra charges for it along with the beverages, which are priced excessively compared to what you receive.

I had an amazing evening here and enjoyed every aspect of the experience. I visited to celebrate a special birthday, and everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Fabulous. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Great service, delicious food and amazing quality. Good value, and we couldn’t fault anything at all. We aim to make it a more regular trip!

I appreciate it was an NYE package the restaurant was going to be busy, but the service was chaotic, waited 30 mins till we sat at our table for booking time. Service was extremely delayed from orders being taken to food being served. Again I know it was busy due to being an nye however if you are going to take a booking then ensure you have enough staff cover on the night. Servers running around like headless chicken due to the demand. Food was ok nothing exceptional but due to the long wait between courses when the food had arrived it just didn’t hit the spot. In general a nice menu was on offer for the price but the service was poor
