However, the drinks took a while to come, and the service in general was a bit slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Despite this, we had a delightful evening and would definitely come back.
We have dined at the Vic several times, but on this occasion, we were extremely disappointed. We waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, two out of the four meals were served cold. The issue was somewhat resolved by reheating them in the microwave, but it was still disappointing. Additionally, not all of the dessert options we wanted were available. It's a pity, as we have generally been satisfied with this restaurant in the past.
The restaurant appeared to be understaffed as tables were not cleared promptly. I was a bit disappointed.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was tasty and met expectations. We weren't happy with the original table allocated to our party and it wasn't too much trouble to move us to a different table. A glass of wine was knocked over and the glass broke again the staff were very helpful in clearing up the mess. To cap it all my Mum choked on her food which caused a bit of an incident for 5 minutes and again the staff were very helpful and understanding. This was our second lunch at The Victoria and we will definitely return. Many thanks.
Food was not the best. Expensive for a small share plate with a wilted salad, burnt belly pork, over cooked sausage rolls. The waiter argued about our side order, saying we had order incorrectly when after 1 hour our correct side order turned up, as we were leaving!
