By The Batch Bakery And Eatery

This place used to be white house cafeteria I didn 't know the name change until I went behind the till to order like before and was told to go back up front behind the till. That 's when I heard the current name By the batch which didn 't register with me because I called minutes earlier and asked a few questions like if we could get a extra scoop of the special? The lady said we 'll see when you get here if there is a extra charge or how they wanted to do it. I was with mywife and 3 year old and we wanted a home cooked meal and that 's what we got from Mom chicken noodle casserole with cheese! It was filling and it was homemade. The price I paid was worth it around 28.00 compared to the taco grill place inFort Yates which served us salty taco meat, old lettuce, a bun that had to be old and slightly microwaved tasted like rubber my 3 year old wouldn 't even eat. And that place was 28.00. Go get your self some home cooked meals made by Mom anddon 't forget I over heard Fridays there is Cheese Buttons, Knoephla and pretty much German Food. They were called Real Germans by another lady which was nice to hear would of been interesting if spoke in German! Then I might not be makingthis post lol! Enjoy

Food is always good. Staff is friendly and always up for a quick chat if not busy. My favorites are the cookies and the baked potato soup!

Not impressed. I've heard a lot of hype about this place so I thought I'd give them a try. I ordered the lunch bagel sandwich with onion rings. First, the sandwich was very blah no flavor and dry. Onions ring were over cooked, greasy and very salty, tasted like any of the other fast food places that offer onion rings on their menu...not good! Now about the bagel, this was not a bagel. It was more like a sour dough bread or quick rise bread than a bagel. In any case not goodor tasty. The bagel sandwiches from Carabou are more delicious and worth your money!

One of my favorite places! If you want great German food, this is the place for you. I?ve also loved every single pastry I?ve eaten here. The bagels are top tier, best I?ve ever had. I highly recommend By the Batch to everyone! You will not be disappointed. The caramel rolls are as big as your face and covered with ooey gooey caramel. The lemon bars are seriously so amazing.

I got charged 8.03 for a cup of chili to go and a cold cornbread muffin. Chill had no flavor at all. A big thing for me is cleaness and no one behind the counter handling the food was wear gloves or hair nets when preparing food or handling food. They smoke in the back and everyone can smell it in the building.
