The Walrus - Bismarck

After residing in the area for nearly two years, we recently discovered this amazing little gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is consistently exceptional, and the food is absolutely outstanding. We've always had great experiences here and are eagerly anticipating our next visit! It's a perfect spot for lunch, date nights, casual dinners, and it's also kid-friendly, which is a huge bonus.

However, the service was slow. I had to ask for a water refill, and the server never inquired about how we were enjoying the food, which was a bit disappointing. She may have been new, though. The food itself was good; I had the Fettuccine Alfredo, which was supposed to come with chicken. Unfortunately, I didn’t see or taste any chicken in the dish. When I asked, she explained that they shred it and mix it into the sauce. After reading the reviews, I expected a bit more from this place. While I did enjoy the food, I don't think we will be returning.

I thought the food was quite good. I had the French dip. Fries were amazing. Service was great. Atmosphere was too dark in my opinion.

Had the daily special of Mahi Mahi tacos and the Plum Tuckered pizza. The pizza had lemon ricotta base, pork belly, arugula and plums. It was fantastic!

Excellent craft beer selection there were at least five dark, specialty (think barrel aged) beers on tap to choose from. Large portions, good food, terrific service. Pro Tip: many dishes (and the bread) are heavy on the garlic so if you are not a garlic fan ask your server to have them hold back especially on the added cloves.
