Watergate Fish - Blaby

Was in the area on family business and fancied chips for dinner, had to find a cash machine because they don’t take card payments for a start, chips were ok but my pie was like warm and so was a fish cake my wife had, a bit disappointed really however I thought the chips were not bad.

Had fish and chips takeaway today and was disappointed. The cod was only passable but the chips were not fresh looking and didn't taste fresh. They were dry and tough on the outside. I cannot recommend on this experience.

Never disappoints, freshly cooked fish, wonderfully creamy chips. As good, if not better, than would be experienced at a seaside fish restaurant. Highly recommended.

My husband went to this chippy this evening. I ordered a chick pie which wasn't fit for purpose and the only place it belonged was in the bin. However, after a long day at work and cross I returned it to the shop told the assistant it looked like it had gone off she declined to comment and politely asked if would like another one! I said as long as it's not one that had been warmed several time and it was a fresh one. No apology or reasons why they had served a customer a pie that was clearly overcooked and clearly out of date the gravy was brown the pasty was so hard and smelt quite unpleasant.

Very good food fish and chips was delicious . The taste was same likes sea side fish and chips really awesome
