I really wanted to give a zero rating, but unfortunately that wasn't an option. Well, what can I say.
I recently visited Holly Tree Chippy to grab a few bags of chips. It’s not my usual spot, but living in the Livesey area and hearing mixed reviews, I decided to give it a shot. The service was a bit slow, but understandable as they were busy. I ordered 2 portions of chips, but was told they were making fresh ones so there would be a short wait. However, I was surprised to see the young girl preparing what seemed like small portions for me. Despite questioning if they were regular portions, I received them anyway. Unfortunately, the size of the portions was extremely small and the quality was poor. The chips were lukewarm, with very few decent sized ones and lots of small, hard pieces. It was evident that the chips were not freshly made, as the girl had to scrape them out of the tray multiple times. The prices at Holly Tree Chippy are on the higher side, especially considering the subpar quality. I was charged £4.00 for a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. If I had to rate my experience out of ten, I would give it a zero, and that’s being generous.
