Vaughns Country Cafe

Went up to Vaughn's country cafe today I had a tea and a cheese toasted excellent food All the staff where pleasant and helpful will defo be going again

Excellent place to stop for a brew during a walk. Delicious cakes and friendly staff. A one way window to view the birds on the bird feeders whist enjoying your cuppa.

This cafe is a very welcome place for refreshment after rambling around Tockholes or Darwen Tower.We've sampled a few different things from their menu and found them to be quite good. Can definitely recommend their cakes.There is seating inside and out but if you can, sit inside near to the bird feeder window. It's fascinating to watch them feed whilst you do the same!Okay, it's not pristine but you have to remember that most of the customers have dusty/muddy boots and some have four legs..I know their timing can be a bit of a let down sometimes but we now visit with open expectation.

We arrived ready for our lunch at 1.10 and enticed by the signs for 'homemade soup ' and bacon barms.We were asked on entry 'Ice cream? ' When we said we wanted something more substantial, we were told there was no way they would be serving food now (1.10!!! they 'd be there all night!Strange for a cafe at lunchtime !

Went to this cafe for the first time today, received excellent and friendly service from the staff and owner. The food was excellent, will definately be going back and would recommend to friends and family.
