The people were kind and helpful but there were quite a few Flys in the space. The food was okay but I've had better. The ribs were small, not a lot of meat, compared to other BBQ places I've been to. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I was in town for a jiu jitsu tournament and had time to hit both of the main bbq spots out there. This one and smokin gun. Not to take anything away from smokin gun. It was okay (maybe i went at the wrong time) but this one was out of this world! This place is 2 hours away but i will make the trip again sometime just to eat there. No joke. A lot of bbq places trim the brisket too much. They cut all the juicy fat flavorful fat off. This place doesnt they are thick pieces with delicious meat and fat that is to die for! By far the best i have ever had. Thank you so much! This place should be your first choice if youre looking for bbq!

HUGE shout out to blackhawk bbq pit! The food is so good! I went on my lunch (12:00 pm) and the station was playing the national anthem. But they completely stopped business to put their hand over their heart and face the flag at Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet. I have never witnessed this from any restaurant or food truck before, so it was so cool to see and be apart of. Not to mention they're veteran owned! Meal type: Lunch
