Buca Di Beppo Village Blackpool

Terrible microwaved food at restaraunt prices. Awful and overpriced, a terrible combination. Was so bad I considered refusing to pay for the first time in my life.

Lovely restaurant, not a massive choice of Italian food but what we had was very nice. Had to ask for parmesan cheese though !

We arrived at 6.30pm on Tuesday 11th February, there were two on service, and we were shown to our table and drinks arrived later. It was very quiet with only about 8 other guests, mainly single diners. We ordered a garlic pizza to go with our drinks and when it arrived at about 7pm it was cold and soggy. We then waited and waited for our main course which finally arrived at about 8pm. My wife, who doesn't usually complain, said to me this is cold; she was having some sort of steak dish. I then tried mine which was also cold. The fried chicken was very clearly a piece of warmed up cold chicken, which had gone cold again, also the salad which was meant to be warm was cold. I called for the waitress and explained the problem. I said that I wished to send it back and did not want a replacement. She offered the same to my wife, but she opted to eat hers. From then on I am afraid that the staff seemed to avoid us. When we were ready to go to pay our bill, the waiter said that he understood that we had had a problem with our meal. I explained our dissatisfaction and he asked whether I wanted him to go and see the manager. I was rather appalled at this. There was no real apology and if he had been really customer friendly, I would have expected him to have sorted it all out before we came to pay. I said no, paid the full bill and departed feeling very dissatisfied. I don't know whether we had hit a bad night but I couldn't recommend this eating place to anyone.

Friday 8pm and the place was very quiet with sombre music playing. Limited menu and expensive. £15 for a pasta dish. Food was good but nothing to enthuse about. Staff were pleasant. Left a note when booking table for a candle in my partners dessert.. nothing.

We have to wait over 25 minutes to place the order (they forgot). Food was not really good, especially when it was about other village hotels. Chickenburgers and chickens don't taste good. The prices are ok. £47 for 2 appetizers, main dishes and beer.
