I first visited Sake House when it was located in Salem, and I was thrilled when they moved to Blacksburg! This family-run restaurant offers some amazing dishes that always bring a smile to my face when I sit down to eat. If you're a sushi fan, I highly recommend trying their rolls. If sushi isn't your thing, their bento box lunches are a great option. My favorite is the Chicken Katsu box, which is basically barbecue fried chicken. I absolutely love the food, and I especially appreciate the wonderful family that runs this place!

I think Sake House is likely the best sushi spot in Blacksburg, but it doesn't quite measure up to some of the places I enjoy back home, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I visited once before the pandemic for their $1 sushi deal, and it was understandable—you mostly got rice with just a little bit of fish. However, I've started ordering from their lunch menu (available Monday to Friday during lunch hours), and I've found it to be quite reasonable! It definitely satisfies my sushi cravings, and the staff is really friendly as well.
