The landlord stopped us before we got to the bar and marched us straight out saying he doesn 't allow children. We asked if we could buy a drink and sit outside and were told no I don 't want this turning into Wetherspoons . Rudest man I have come across in years. He doesn 't deserve a penny of anyone 's money. Won 't be long before someone will do him for discrimination with that attitude.
Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Cosy atmosphere. Good choice of reasonably priced main meals which were great quality. Starters and desserts a bit pricier than other pubs in the area but a very enjoyable visit and we will definitely return
Lovely local pub with very nice and tasty food at reasonable prices. Visited for lunch and very much enjoyed the Caribbean Chicken. The staff is very polite and friendly. I will definitely be coming back.
The landlord is really nice. Our group just turned up minutes after afternoon closing but he still made a cup of coffee for us. There were also a couple of ladies waiting for a taxi, he was very patient. Thank you.
First time visiting this pub today after not hearing very positive reviews. Food was okay however the beef was chewy! On arrival I explained that my partner couldn’t make it and that it was only three of us it didn’t seem a problem until we payed the bill, he asked us for a further £16 ‘cancellations fee ‘ which we wasn’t made aware of because there was nothing in writing to say so. The owner is rude and arrogant and lives up to his reputation! Fair to say I will not be revisiting this pub again
