Beautiful ambiente, warm, friendly staff, from the reservation (btw, they called me before our reservation to ask if we want to be up with the music), to be greeted by the hostess. our server therese was great, helpful in choosing our dinner, explaining how the food is prepared and where it comes from. the wine “sommelier” mckendrick was excellent, took the time to discuss our wine selection and even send a second bottle, with their supplements. we will return the next weekend, and highly recommend to anyone who wants a unique, delicious truly welcoming culinary experience, not this jewel in hope, new jersey up.
We always enjoy dinner in the inn at millrace, it is such a beautiful place and eating is excellent! we had a cocktail in the tavern, which is due to its grist mill history with huge beams and a massive kamin along with stone foundation. we had dinner in the dining room, layla was our waitress, we had them as our server and she makes an excellent work. it's always a nice night when they go in, it's one of our places.
Excellent in every sight, as usual. we combine our very nice lunch with a visit to the nest and make the one hour drive from our place in essex county to hope an absolutely pleasant afternoon.
The Inn is a great place to meet friends as it is not noisy and the food and wine is excellant. Staff fun but professional and very tidy in their attire.
