Trust me, they'll be the highlight of your day! The ambiance in the cafe is really delightful. I enjoy the various displays of produce and small business made goods!A word of warning if you are as unlucky as I am and you come on the weekend between 10:45am and 11am, you will find yourself in a time warp between breakfast and lunch, where they will not serve you their drool inducing breakfast specials (or home fries), nor will they put your lunch order in yet. You'll have to bide your time until 11am. Thankfully, there are some grab go baked goods plus yummy coffee options to hold you over for that foodless window.I really wish the girl at the counter had told me of this 15 minute twilight zone between menus, while she watched me ooh and ahh over the breakfast menu until I finally made up my mind at 10:47am, only to be told that they wouldn't serve me breakfast as of 10:45am and wouldn't put a lunch order in until 11am.That experience won't dissuade me from coming back, but I will apparently have to be very aware of the time I arrive, to make sure I avoid that 15 min vortex that dashed my hopes of home fries on a lazy Saturday morning.
We loved eating lunch here! No wonder it was so packed on a Saturday. My fiancé and I were in the mood for a healthy, filling lunch after hiking at Nescopeck state park.We stopped in here and both had the Mushroom sandwich (I forget the name, but it was vegetarian and had aoli, pesto, and a huge shitaki mushroom on it) with a side salad and it was PHENOMENAL.They also had 2 flavors of kombucha on tap which was refreshing and tasy.. we ended up getting a blueberry lavender blend. The atmosphere and environment were really clean and cozy, and afterwords we walked around the little market area inside and ended up getting a few boxes of mushrooms and a quart of frozen soup to take home. The workers were so friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to like working there, I can see why!Overall.. 10/10 atmosphere. Very fresh and full of lush plants.11/10 food. My fiancé says his sandwich was one of the best he's ever had (and he can be picky!)10/10 experience.
This place gets you to join for Cara farm share then charges you 9 dollars for a small bag of peppers and 8 dollars a pound for old wrinkled strawberries. 4 x the price of any other farms out here.
Took the tour today with Dante as our guide. Super informative, fascinating, inspiring! So cool to know this place is doing such important work right here in Carbon County!
This place is amazing!!! We visited multiple times while in PA on vacation. The workers were kind! The food was outstanding and the coffee was amazing! It's half cafe, half market. We got a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies, I don't have the words to describe how great they were!
