Bahia - Blanes

Marvellous!!!!! The team in this restaurant are slick, very helpful we had brilliant food and drink our omelettes where the best we tasted The owner is the hardest working, kind and funny person you could hope to meet, and he and his wife put their all into their jobs Long may they do well !!!!xxxxx

Dropped by for an evening meal for 2. Not many tables occupied when we arrived but we got the impression very soon that the owner was under pressure to hold the 5 or so already occupied happy. Only one table was eating the rest either waiting for food already ordered or trying to settle their bill. Before we ordered I asked if things would be slow only to be told he had 45 yrs experience and was on top of things ... when I suggested the problem might be in the kitchen I was immediately rebuffed with the fact that it was his wife who ran the kitchen. Anyway, he was a very affable host and deserves credit for the way he handled the situation down to playing with the 2 yr old child on one of the tables. He even went to the trouble of getting some help in at short notice he told me it was his son ... fair play. Anyway, on his advice that theirs was as good as the finest paella to be had in the region, we ordered the mixed version for 2. Well, it wasnt the worst we had ever eaten but Im sure there is also better to be had. Neither was it very cheap so all in all 6/10 for the food and 10/10 for the efforts of the 'front of house ' owner who did everything he could to keep a lid on a difficult situation.

Food here is good and reasonably priced very friendly the owner is a real personality and a credit to the business food well cooked and nothing too much trouble even a paella for one which is very rare in Spain and a nice one at that.

We visited this place twice in a week it was so good, Not expensive at all and pizzas were some of best ever had the 1/2 chicken was very tasty portions very large. fed family of 4 with drinks (lager a whopping vodka& 2 cokes for €40 we were made to feel so welcome our first visit and like old friends on our 2nd. The beautiful views over the beach on a lovley sunny evening made it even more perfect. We would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again on next visit to Blanes.

What an amazing restaurant and owner. We've been coming here 3 years on the trot and each time it was a pleasure and treat to be greeted by an always smiling waiter/owner who has been doing this for 40years who had just received an award for such service. Such a warm and family welcome everytime and always remembered. Food is always a pleasure no matter what we've chosen. Can't say a better word about the the owner. To some he might seem out of character like spinning plates on fingers and whistling, and the occasional hug. But it's a very kind and innocence gesture that's sadly lacking today. He doesn't have a day off and 3 years ago when we arrived he'd not had a day off since he started the business. His wife sadly passed away quite young and thus runs the business with help. He showed us his photo album from 1977. We highly recommend this restaurant. It's not 1st class but family friendly
